Retreat Christian Counseling-RCC Psalm 23

  • Believes the word of God in its entirety and that every word is pure and He is a shield to them that put their trust in Him (Proverbs 30:5).
  • Believes all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (II Timothy 3:16).
  • Believes that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and all in it (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-4; Psalm 24:1-2; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 1:10).
  • Believes that God made man/woman in His image and after His likeness, forming him of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7).
  • Believes that God created all nationalities: tribes, cultures, and ethnicities equal for He has no respect of person (Acts 17:24-26; Romans 2:11).
  • Believes that God gave man dominion over everything he made and through man’s disobedience, he disconnected humanity from God, allowing sin and death to enter the earth (Genesis 2:17, 3:6; Romans 3:23, 5:12).
  • Believes that God loves humanity and gave His only son to save the world and not to condemn the world (John 3:16-17; Romans 5:6-8; I John 4:9-10).
  • Believes that Jesus was born of a virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1: 26-35).
  • Believes that God the Father sent His son (Jesus) to suffer and die for the sins of the world, and that Jesus was crucified on the cross, buried, and on the third day, He (Jesus) was raised with all power in His hands in heaven and earth, and is now seated on the right hand of the Father making intersections for those who believe (Isaiah 53; Matthew 28:18; Mark 15:24; Luke 22:69, 23:33; John 19:18; Act 2:33; Romans 8:34; Ephesians 1:20; I Corinthians 15:4; Colossians 3:1).
  • Believes in the person of the Holy Spirit and that He bears witness of God the Father and His Son Jesus, and that He (Holy Spirit) is a gift, a comforter, will teach us all things, and is the Spirit of truth (Joel 2:28-29; John 14:26, 16:13; Acts 2:17-18, 38; I Timothy 3:16; I John 5:6-7).
  • Believes that psychological theories and therapeutic interventions that are united with faith, prayer and biblical principles can bring health and restoration to those seeking counseling through RCC-Psalm 23 (Psalm 23; Matthew 18:20).
